What's the problem?

Humans have been living on the Puget

Sound for hundreds of years, influencing the environment here. Most of the time those influences are negative, including pollutants, importing invasive species, taking over habitat. Now that we have started to evolve into a more advanced society, we need to put some of own energy back into the planet. These sea creatures and marine mammals need to live! Continue reading on the next few pages to find out why we need this and how we can solve this! YOU can help!

Marine:

Marine water is just saltwater. It comes from the sea. Whales, jellyfish, and sea turtles are marine animals. The Hood Canal (above) is made of saltwater.

Fresh:
Fresh Water is freshwater; it doesn't have salt. It usually comes from melting snow in the mountains, or glaciers. Beavers, river otters, and trout are freshwater animals. Lake Washington is a freshwater lake.
